The snow is gone, but summer is just around the corner, so hit up those beaches and get rid of that goggle tan! And just because winter is over, doesn’t mean that you can forget about this coming big trip, with a location so sick, you’ll need a second pair of undies!

Sup brahs! Weekly updates comin your way!

Just gonna say, if you missed that killer pong tourney, you missed out! The music was bumpin, the balls were flying, and the cops… were nowhere in sight! A special thanks to everyone for keepin it cool, and havin a kick back time, I know I had a ton of fun, and we deserved it! We’ll post up the pics soon, Eddie the yeti sure knows how to throw one down huh?

Well, our softball team is on a bye this week, cuz we are just that flipin cool like that! With only one loss while dealin morale crushing defeats to the other teams, we clinched some playoff action. We put the ball in softball!

No meeting this Thursday, next week for sure tho

This summer is lookin good to be a ridge runners member, with a trip to the PRICE IS RIGHT comin up in July, and a beach bonfire bash goin down, who said we need some powder to kick it!?

Also, look forward to next year,we made some serous coinage off that tourney, so expect some more of those!

Got an idea on how to make the next social gathering bigger and better? Have a buddy that can kick us down some serious swag? As y’all know, eddie the yeti is hosting one of this quarters sickest pong tournaments to date! And as usual eddie is hookin it up for ridge runners, get in for free, but your amigos gotta cough up that green, $5 for them to get in, but if anyone (including members) wants to be in the pong tournament, you gotta pay to play, $8 is the cost for pre-registration(contact and E-board member for pre-registration), and $10 the day of, space is limited, so get your team in so you can enjoy some cool prizes, so dust off those matching headbands and bring your A game! The location of this shindig is 20750 earlgate st. Walnut 91789. A special request from eddie himself, keep the place clean, and treat it as if it was your own. So bring your buddies and have a kick back time with some bumpin music and balls!

If you haven’t noticed, we are kicking some serious arse in softball these days, with a pretty sweet record and amazing wins, ridge runners are proving that we can pretty much dominate and any sport, so once again this Thursday, we are gonna be kickin at the soccer fields dominating in some softball, so swing on by and cheer us on ya?

Okay, so here is the moment you all have been waiting for, if you were a faithful ridgerunner, you showed up to those meetings for the pride center, men against violence, and the B.E. S.M.A.R.T. event, to show some love for the club, well guys we love you long time, so like we promised, we are gonna hook up one of you lucky fellas with a new whip of your choice, so I hope you saved those little red tickets, because now is that time where you take them out and match it, the winning ticket is………….drumroll…………. 4284434!   Stop, collaborate, and listen…

Now I know you guys are bummed about the winter season being over, but we got some sweet events that will cheer you guys up and make you happier than smiling bob from those commercials

Im gonna give it all to you in a nice, neat, little package right here;

A very special thanks to all of you who helped out at the B.E. S.M.A.R.T. event, we needed 18 people to help us get out of our probationary discipline and we got… (Drum roll) 19 people! Now we are still on probation, so we gotta watch what we do and say, but we are well on our way, so thanks to you guys, this club gets to keep on keepin on

This Thursday there will be a meeting during YOU-hour in building 9 room 269. As usual, pizza will be provided, so come grab a slice, and chat up the new E-board, give us some ideas, or just shoot the breeze, we’ll be goin over some of the events that are planned in the few weeks left of school.

Also this Thursday the ridgerunners softball team are gonna be doin their thing down by the soccer fields again at 5, so if you got some time to kill or just wanna kick it with us and have a little fun, stop on by and show us your stuff.

This Saturday (5/15) a few of us are gonna be down at huntington beach hangin out and catchin some sun, and tryin to get rid of that gnarly tan lines from our shred gear. So come on down and do some topless tanning with our prez Rafael! If you wanna chill, hit up Rafael and see where he’s at, also if you wanna save some cash-ola on gas, hit up the group page and post it up!

Next Thursday (5/20) your local ridge runners will be out in the quad sellin some delicious frozen treats, that’s right, we can do it all! Even bake! So come on over and buy something, so ask not what your club can do for you, but what you can do for your club, and that means munchin down on some cookies and ice cream, so help us to help you! Because the proceeds from the bake sale will go towards out sick party!

What comes before part B? that’s right, PART A! (sound it out, that’s right) The next day after the bake sale, Friday (5/21), will be a very big day in ridge runners history, for no reason at all except for the fact that that night is the BIKINI BABE PONG TOURNEY! (change pants now) now, this party is gonna be off the hook! As usual, members get in free, but in order to register your team of 2, you gotta cough up a measely $8 pre-sale, or $10 at the door. Oh, and the winner of the tournament, wins 50 big ones and a 686 proform card, how you and your partner split that is up to you. So dust off those bikinis girls (or guys), and some cheek hugging Speedos guys, cuz if you can manage to fit in it, you get in free! Its also $5 for non-members to get into this bumpin party. By the way if you have any ping pong tables that you have, and can let your favorite club use for the night, we can hook you up! So give us a holla and we’ll hit you back

Get your money in for the river trip that is gonna be epic! Hurry, because seats are sellin out, and it’s a first come first serve basis, so get that money in and seal the deal for what sure to be a memorial weekend you wont remember

JULY is lookin to be a good month to be a club member, because that is when it is lookin like we will be comin on down for the PRICE IS RIGHT! Keep your calendars open, so you can come with us and win a new car! (hopefully) disclaimer; if you win money, you gotta donate some to the club, haha

May 11th

This is the day of day compadres, it’s the B.E. S.M.A.R.T. event, so contact one of your E board members, and sign up, it’s your last chance to snag a ticket to win a new whip for next year’s fresh powder. Edumacate yourself about the do's and dont's of drinking, so you can be a little more responsible next time. Once again this event is absolutely MANDATORY for all ridge runners members, if you wanna see us around next year, you gotta pitch in so we can kick down some sick stuff to y’all.

As ridge runners, not only can we shred up the mountain like no ones business,  but we can also soak up the sun too, so come on down to Huntington beach, we’re gonna be there all day, so if you just wanna chill and have some fun, come to the ridge runners beach day

Shaved ice! YOU-hour, we are gonna be sellin some sick slushy goodness, so support the ridgerunners, and come on, you know it sounds good

RIVER TRIP!!! First come first serve for this trip, so get your cash in fast and seal the deal! What up Ballers!

That’s right this week we are having Broomball, Wednesday night at 9:30 to be exact! THANKS to all who made it up to Mt High for our filming day, keep an eye out for your part in the yearly vid! We laid down some MAD footy and got clips of back to back, TO BACK, Backflips, some five-4th’s, and some pride crusing falls! Were going try and get another filming sesh in before the end of the season for those who missed out! OH YEA, LOCAL MOUNTAINS JUST GOT 4-6 INCH OF THAT FLUFFY WHITE STUFF!  So get out there and Plow the runs, don’t be scurred try some new tricks! You will be healed in time for next year’s BIG TRIP and this location just may top CANADA!

 

-Wednesday 4/14 @ 9:30: Spring Quarter Broomball! This is your last chance to ball it up on the ice for the school year. Everyone is welcomed and its free! Just grab a broom and bust a Michael Jackson [(oooHhOoo!( Crotch Grab)] all night! We have some small prizes for those with shredtacular skills! Also this is the night to get you name in for E-Board (which y’all want to be a part of) all you have to do is give us your name and what you want to run for and ur nominated! -Thursday 4/15 @ U-hour: In building 9 room 269 is our first workshop in complying with the school during our probation period. We will be having guest speakers from The Pride Center talk about who they are and answer any question form us.  This will be fun and informative! Pizza will be provided as usual. This is a very important meeting and we need a MINMUM of 30 people to show up to keep the club alive, so bring your friends! Free pizza and all are welcomed!  Be respectful of our guests, no goofing off or obnoxious comments/questions or you will be removed from the club. Also each person who shows up gets a raffle ticket for a chance to win a snowboard once all of our workshops have been completed. Being on Eboard can Help your networking dramatically, expand your horizons at school, and it looks good on your resume. We need dedicated people who can improve on the year before! Straight up it will change ur life!

-E-Board positions:
President (Boss) – Over sees what’s going on making sure everyone is on task. Responsible person for the club to rely on.

Vice President (El Don) – Implements the agenda and is the jack of all trades, helps out where ever.

Treasurer (Sticky Fingers) – Obliviously in charge of the money, Keeps track of money and spending, detailed spread sheets.

Webmaster (Speedy Finger) – In charge of weekly Emails, Responding to Emails, and updating website and club pages. Anything dealing with the club online.

Chair of Membership (The Shit) – Knows who is and is not a member keeps updated list of members. This person is “the Shit!” in a good way because they are responsible for all of the clubs stuff like shirts, sweaters, EZ-up, banner, poster board… all the shit, but its good shit so you know!

It’s been awhile since we’ve had our intimate conversations but were making up for lost time! Spring Break was a blast and who ever made it to our Spring Break Trip, we just want to thanks each person for making the trip a memorable experience! (If you need more of those chocolately rubbery rubbers or “slippery when wet stuff” hit up the wellness center they got you covered!)It may be spring and the snow is melting but the club has much in store for spring quarter! We still need for footage for our yearly video so keep an eye out for filming dates while conditions permit! The follow is going down this Quarter: Broomball, Intramural softball, Mammoth weekend trip, Trifecta, Beach day/ Bonfire, Social gathering ;), and Taco Tuesdays, to name a few! So keep up with our updates and come out to our stuff! We’re bringing the FUN to CPP! (Something Unheard of at CPP)

GOOF FOR THE REST OF THE QUARTER. Pizza will be provided as usual! We will be talking about what’s going on this quarter, head count for our dominating softball team and day to play, see what y’all wanna do!

We are on probation this quarter and we have do some special tasks to keep the club afloat this quarter. We need your help especially if u want this club to stick around! We have planned for some of our meetings at u-hour to team up with other school organizations to make everyone aware of what comes with the college lifestyle of drinking, partying, and others in the community! Its gunna be fun will increase you knowledge of campus!

There are for events and the will be like regular club meeting at u hour pizza, swag etc. but for coming you will receive a raffle ticket that can win you a new snow Board or skis at the end of the quarter! From Academy snowboard or Armada! All tickets will be entered in the raffle, so show up and increase your chances to win!

  Heyo!

First and foremost, we want to wish everyone happy trails on your finals! Its been a great winter Quarter and we have big plans for Spring! Keep an eye and an ear open for what we have in store.

 

Spring Break!

Better known as BIG BREAK! This year hands down is going to be our best Tahoe trip yet. We are all driving up together and staying in a larger than life house. This house is something I could only hope to retire into! Check out the Pics below to see for yourself! We will be Riding one day at Kirkwood and two days at Heavenly and weather prediction are for a white spring break! Fresh tracks for days!

 

Trippers:

-Vans are leaving campus @ 9am sharp Sunday March 21! So up early to load up and not be left behind (we will leave you, you will NOT be refunded)

-Park in F-lot by the police station (that’s where we’ll be and your car will not be ticketed W/ Cal poly permit)

-Travel light: 1 Med. Suitcase, 1 Board/ ski bag, and 1 carry on/ back pack (girls do not bring your closet!)

-Be sure to bring your School ID if you don’t have one print our your schedule *very important*

- Your trip is pretty much all inclusive except for food and drinks. (we will stop by the store in south lake and you can get what you need and on and off during the week)

-Bring Ipods and car hook ups for the ride up if you have them, you can be DJ Co-Pilot!

-Bring DVDs for the house  for those lazy times, and any snacks.

-Bring a costume, any will do, you can never be too prepared while hanging out with Ridge Runners! (Last day = costume day on the Mtn.)

-Two themed nights at our house will be Pimps N’ Hoes & Medical Professionals (Keep it simple, less is more!)

-Swim attire, we do have a Hot tub!

-Lastly leave your dignity at home and be ready to shred the Gnar on spring break!

OHHHH My-Lanta!

Hello My Dearest Ridgerunners,

It's been two weeks since we last talked...two weeks since my fingertips and
this keyboard had an intimate rendezvous...two weeks since I changed my
underwear....my heart has had been slowly dying with every beat. I miss the
softness of your....

But alas, no more hiding our feelings. After a temporary lovers dilemma,
Ridgerunners Ski and Snowboard Club is back and at it once again!! There are
some changes you should all be aware of though.

We have a new president we like to call Nate "Boccasilitis" Boccasile. This
man is one of the rare gingerus firecrotchus species of human beings. But do
not let this fool you, his skills on the mountain and in da club are just as
rare. He has turned ladies to stone with the wink of his....well we won't
say which eye it was. Congratulations Nate!!

Also, if you are going to Tahoe for Spring Break, all your money is due
tomorrow, Thursday, March 11, 2010. You need to contact James and make sure
you are good to go. We also need to know who is gonna drive up on their own
and who wants to go in the vans. So please get on that ASAP!!

All that being said, we will have a meeting tomorrow from 12 - 1 pm in
Building 9 Room 269. We have a few things we'd like to talk about but
nothing too crazy. If you haven't picked up your Ridgerunners Hoodie yet
then come get it. I've had people offer to do unspeakable things to me for
one of those jackets so come get yours before I give it away.

We got some stuff going on this week along with some important dates for y’all to remember. We hope everyone is making it up to the local mountains while the snow lasts! Which is all the more reason to go on this year’s Spring Break Trip to Lake Tahoe! To a resort who has already gotten 318” of their season average which is 600”! That’s how Kirkwood rolls!

-Tuesday 2/23: Look for your favorite club out in the quad during YOU-Hour hangin out shooting the steez and giving out free stuff! Stop by and grab a trail map of Kirkwood we got tons, this is also a chance for you to throw down Your deposit for the trip ($100)!

Tuesday night is our club hang out night and were gunna be at Rocky’s New York Pizza at 7:30PM till close, so come by grubb-a-dub-dub. They have great food and deals for days! XL pizza and pitcher for 16 small ones! That’s cheaper than a Z-job.

-Thursday 2/25: Club meeting Building 9 room 269 at U-hour. We will be making it rain with pizza and as well as giving breast examinations. VERY IMPORTANT Deposits for Lake Tahoe are Due, 2/25, so pay up sucka! Spring break with us will have your mind blown as well as some other body parts! We already have gotten some deposits and as of right now there are more girls than guys! I’m likin my odds! Also come grab your ridiculously steezy jackets they are in, and if wish you would have ordered one but didn’t, well we got you covered too! We order extra so if the size fits $20 bucks and its yours!

Thursday night is also College Night #4 at Mt high if anyone is down to shred at night.

 

-Friday 2/26: Possible club riding day, we will discuss ride situation at the meeting Thursday. If any one has a camera or would like to film let us know. We’re going to make a compilation of this year’s footage on a DVD for yous wise guys thusly, people filming on club riding days would help us out!

Also Friday is our second PACK THE [PARKING LOT], or PACK DAT [ASS], whatever you prefer. So come out around 4:30 PM, pregame, and get those fist pumpin! Check the facebook event for more details.

 

Lake Tahoe: I’m sure you are well aware of where we are going and whats going down. Just a reminder of dates, deposits due Thursday 2/25 and the final payment is due March 11th. Also if you need or want a raggging ride up on our party VANS lets us know and pay by march 11th.  The easiest way to pay is to pay the treasure, James Bradley, at the club meetings and he will give you a receipt. Cash or check only. Were on campus all week so hit us up this week and get your deposits in if you cant make the meeting, our numbers are on the website.

 

-Next Tuesday March 2nd @ 7:30PM:  In the bronco student center room Orion AB, we are having a Boarding for Bread Cancer fund raiser! We got a badunka dunk ass load of stuff to hand out to people. We gunna be going over the Final details of the spring break trip, watching this year’s legit snow vids, and raffling off prizes! Donations of whatever denominations will be accepted and it ALL goes to B4BC!
